Hi Experts.
Any1 have an idea how to draw this part (se image) so its pretty light for the system.

I would like the part to start from the diameter Ø55 and end at Ø140 with a pitch around 1,2 mm.
The thickness of the band is 0,8 mm.

It appears to be simple already. The only additional thing that comes to my mind is to reduce the number of surfaces but then, you'll probably will have to create the part in a different manner, with less features involved. Can you attach the compressed (zipped) file?

Option 1:
You can go into 'Tools' -> 'Feature Statistics'

This tells how long it takes to build each feature. From this you can determine which features are the most intensive and are likely taking up a lot of memory. Then re-create the part a different way without using those features.

I assume the wrap and curve-pattern are responsible for a lot of the file size. It takes a lot of power for SW to determine that geometry. Is there a way to get the same part without using the Wrap feature? I don't know.

Option 2:
Do you really need all of that precise detail in the part.

You could simply sketch a sprial and extrude it upward.
Extrude cut the series of holes thru the entire part.
Extrude cut the rounded top/bottoms of the part.

It definitely wont be exactly the same (with the cuts not bent to follow the part, and links not offset as the curve spirals larger). But if you only need a rough representation of the part and the correct physical space, this should be sufficient and have a much smaller file size.
