Please help how to use curve snap in catia.

I think that I cannot make this surface described in the attachment because I dont know how to join curves to surface edge.

I can email my catia file if somebody wants to.

BTW...if you some good catia V5 surfacing tutorials please tell.

first, this is actually easier than i will be able to make it sound so, i am sorry for that, in advance :)

step one: create points on curves where the corners of
your surface intersect it.

step two: create a plane normal to curve at each point

step three: intersect your existing surface with the
planes you created in step two (this should
give you curves on the surface that are
perpendicular to the edges you are using)

step four: create a spline tangent to the lines you
created in step 3, giving you two "arches"
that will create the edges of your surface

step five: use the "fill" comand to create your surface.
(note: make sure that when you select the
existing surface edges that you also select
the surface as their suppot)

step six: edit the splines parameters to get the desired
curve to the surface

it is actually very simple and quik using this method. if it does not give you the results you need there are several other ways to create the splines prior to usining the fill comand. one such is to creat a line between the points and create legs for the sline to run across. this gives you the ability to move the points in the spline vertually any shape. see the attached file if i am not clear about the legs :p
