How to weld Zincalloy? 1

I have to weld zincalloy with a robot.Do someone have some tips about the right gas and the right wire to use?Someone can post some link to get informations about choice of wire and gas in MIG/MAG welding?

Need more info.-ASTM? or is this proprietary matl.?
Short arc or spray? Thickness? Joint design? Any Codes?

ABB robot with RPA 400 weld machine

Pulsed Arc

plate about 2/3mm thickness must be welded with circular section 8 mm diameter

Material is Zincanneal G2s

What is ASTM?

Pulsed arc is "spray". Zincanneal is a brand name-need a material spec. or chemical make-up. That is what ASTM is for
(US Spec). You may need to contact the material manuf.,ask for the ASTM spec.

Be prepared to qualify a weld procedure to do this properly.

Looked up your matl. on the net. Try this to start. All in english inchs and US specs.

Gas 92%Ar 8%CO2
Wire .045 AWS E70S-6
Volts 23-24 Trim 65
Wire speed 120-125 IPM

What are you welding it to?
What is the size of the part?
What temperature do you need the part to be used at?
Can you load the robot wih a TIG torch?
