HP Plotter Help

I am trying to set up my computer to use a HP 755cm Plotter. I go through the plotter set up. But then when I go into AutoCad 2000, and do a page set up and select the HP 755cm The program quites and boots me out to my desk top.... Any help would be apperciated.

Newer versions of AutoCad expect to use the default plotter. Check your printer settings before firing up AutoCad and make the Plotter the default.
