My company owns/operates several large thermal plants, and a re-occuring problem is repairing/replacing combined cycle boiler tubes. The standard approach is to cut-in-weld-out, but I am looking for a better way.
Sorry for linking to a company, but this gives an example what I'm looking for - is the only alternative I've found, and I have doubts about cutting large holes in the header.
Has anyone found a better approach to repairing/replacing tubes?
