HTRI Tube layout

Dear all,

I'm trying to rate existing HE with the data as below :
Shell Type : BEU
ID shell : 37 inch
No. of shells in paralel / series : 1/1
tube OD : 0.75 inch
wall thickness : 0.083 inch
Tube pitch : 0.9375
Tube pitch ratio : 1.25
Tube layout angle : 90
tubepass : 2
length :12 ft
Tubes to remove for tie rods : 8

However with this data i cannot get 38 tubes in the first line of tube (see attached pict).
event if i modified the tube pitch, tubes number always odd cannot be even number.

I don't have HTRI in front of me so pardon me if the wording is slightly off.

In the input section, go to tube layout and set "offset tube" to yes or no. Play around with that toggle.

no "tube layout" option in HTRI but there is "bundle layout"
and no toggle to be adjust in bundle layout option.

Ok I have it open now. The steps should be as follows. I have attached an image for help

1- Go to the input
2- Open up the geometry subsection
3- Click on tube layout
4- The drop down menu that you should be altering is "Staggered Layout Shifted"

Side note, this is based on HTRI v7. I don't know if previous versions are different.

I am sure they have an equivalent feature in older versions of HTRI. I just can't help you locate it.
