Gee, thanks Steve. The research so far is more applicable to industrial system than to most utility systems, but I have found some interesting results. It appears that it is possible to achieve selective instantaneous tripping of circuits feeding transformers for any fault (with reasonable fault resistance) on the primary circuit and well into the transformer. I hope it generates some interest.
