HV Test involving temperature detector for motor

Is the high voltage test and insulation resistance test applicable for a temperature probe (Pt100) which have a rating of 250V, 2 element x 3 core? The temperature detector is for measuring motor cavity water for a submersible motor.

How would you normally do these tests? At what test voltages are these tests normally conducted according to international standards? I read on some websites that only mentioned about Meggar test but not HV test at 500V.

As a submersible motor manufacturer, we do not meg the RTD, but cannot speak for what happens once it leaves our shop.


The actual usefulness of the RTD in a wet-wound motor is a different thing.
