I have to prepare Load list for HVAC Loads. The problem here is I do not know the rated HP of the compressor, but I have RLA of compressors.

How do I calculate kW from RLA?

1) kW = Root 3 x 460 x PF(Assumed) x Efficiency(Assumed) x RLA
(or)
2) kW = Root 3 x 460 x PF(Assumed) x RLA.

Normally for condensing units which consists of condensers and fans, how is the Power calculated for the purpose of preparing loadlist as it is considered as a single load.

Use formula no. 2.

RLA is the rated input current to the compressor so the efficiency need not be included in the calculations. By the way, divide the results of your computation by 1000 (assuming the unit of the voltage value of 460 is in volts).
