Hi there,

Can anyone please guide on the advantage of having a constant primary and variable secondary pumping system compared to a variable primary only system?

Also what happen if I close the valve on the decoupler for a primary-secondary pumping system? Would there be any risks on the pumps?

Thanks

Try reading and understadnig something like this
A constant primary with multiple secondary pumps allows the primary system to maintain a steadier temperature and reduces secondary pipe size as the secondary system only takes what it needs, not all of the flow.

Try drawing out what you mean for your system and look at the flows with and without the de-coupler. Probably not a good idea to close it.
