Where can i find the mechanical Properties and chemical composition of HY 80 and HY 70 Grades.

Also would appriciate source/name of trades who can supply 5000 Kgs of 75 mm dia rods.

I did google search and could not get. I could get the UNS number but could not get typical chemical composition of HY 80 grade. all the search leads me to MIL standard.

One of our clients (We are construction contractors) has specified this grade of Rod in sub marine service (Load carrying Pins) all the local traders in our area have regretted and have informed us that they have never heard of this grade.

Is there an ASTM equivalent to this. Is A 372 grade K equivalent to HY 80?

The chemical composition and mechanical properties are shown in MIL-S-21952 STEEL (HY-80 AND HY-100) BARS, ALLOY , available here:

I believe ASTM A 372 Grade K is essentially the same.

Possible suppliers are Republic, Macsteel, Timken, and Mittal.
