Anyone heard of a hydraulic damper or any damper that is capable of decelerating small loads (30-75lbs) in about(.015") of travel. I have a high speed application where a roller on a spring loaded pivot cylces up and down. Up and down of varying strokes. .010" - .030". I need some thing to take away the impact noise when the mechanism bottoms out. I can't use a bumper because the hard stop must be precise, and the components must resist wear. i can only think of slowing the impact to reduce the noise with some sort of damper. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Try opposed magnets.
