Hydraulic engineering Need some help hooking up a Eaton 3921-000m pump to a Eaton R6 31-023 or possibly R6 31-028(and i'm unsure about the motor's model number this was the only readable number)
My problem is: The Pump is PTO driven and has 10 Ports. I'm not even sure which one is the supply because the 3 of the biggest outlets are the same size. The pump runs a motor that turns a Drum in Forwards and or reverse. So somewhere on the motor or the pump i'm supposed to hook up a hydraulic valve that toggles the motor into forwards and reverse. Also, the pump runs two hydraulics cylinders, each of which require their own valve bank. I have pictures if this can help someone solve my problem. One of the ports on the pump should be a Charge pressure? I should also have a system pressure gauge but i'm unsure what they should be hooked to. Also there is a hydraulic dump valve that when disengaged disables the drum completely from being able to turn. Any advice or if someone could label these ports on my pump and motor i'd be grateful. i went ahead and attached some photos if they help. Hopefully someone Can label which port does what for me!!

The numbers you have given do not return any details from an internet search. Can you confirm these are actually the pump/motor part numbers and not serial numbers?

How have you ended up with a pump with no hoses on it?

There could be any number of reason for having 10 ports on the pump. However, based on your description I can guess at the following...

1) Inlet/Outlet
2) Outlet/Inlet
3) Casing drain
4) Pressure supply to manual / electronic directional control valve
5) Return from directional control valve
6) Control line out
7) Control line in
8) Cylinder supply
9) Cylinder return
10) ?

The biggest ports will be the in/out and the casing drain. The rest will have low flow

These are best guesses based on your description, there is no way of knowing which is which from the details. You will need to give a better description of the system and also check that pump part number, it doesn't seem right.

Cheers
