Form left field, and this is NOT a recommendation :
ADAMS/Hydraulics

maybe?

I'm fairly sure that a lot of people use Matlab/Simulink.

SIG:please see FAQ731-376 for tips on how to make the best use of Eng-Tips.

This is a copy paste from a communication with a transmission company that were recruiting engineers.

We are a very lean organisation and have specific requirements for people with the following skills:

Transmission Design and Analysis, (Utilising software tools such as ProEngineer, Patran/Nastran, Matlab/Simulink and RomaxDesigner)

Thanks for that. Has anybody used AMeSIM (LMS Imagine).
