I have a simple task. I have to model outflow from a basin which is connected to the culvert (In first step modeled as a pipe reach). The culvert´s capacity was exceeded. So, I converted it to a pond with culvert outlet. What I need is a transform of inflow, so I used detention pond. My question is, how can I estimate the storage? I know just the dimensions of culvert.
Is there any other way how to model a culvert transformation?
Thanks for your ideas

If there's no storage, then you can define the node to have no storage in HydroCAD.

If there is storage in reality, you'd ideally calculate it using topographic survey. Lacking that, you could estimate it with the best available data.
