I have two ponds on one site that are going to be connected with a pipe. I have it set up for the East Pond to have a culvert outlet to go into the west pond. I have the same starting elevation in both ponds at 3.0'. The invert of the outlet culvert on the east pond is 2.0. The west pond is where I have my main outlet and an emergency overflow weir. I can't get the east pond water surface to change when the water surface in the west pond raises. I am running the dyn stor ind method.

I don't want to run both ponds in one pond with multiple storage definitions. I just want to be sure that the equalizing pipe between the ponds works as it should.

Any help or suggestions?

The DSI procedure will handle standard tailwater conditions, where the flow is always in direction of the outlet. In this case, from the east pond to the west pond.

If you want to model a reversing flow (west to east, then east to west) you need to use a reverse outlet in conjunction with the SimRoute procedure. For details see
