I'm working in aboiler manufacturer company. I want to find a complete reference about hydrostatic tests , because ASME codes such as secVIII and secI do not give us details about this test such as the place and number of the gages. could anybody help me please?

The type of information that you are looking for is a procedure, and it will not be found in Code books. Most boiler and pressure vessel fab shops have a rather descriptive procedure as part of their QA/QC program for conducting hydrostatic tests. Talk with your Authorized Inspector and get their input.
