i have some doubts related to hydro test pressure
my first doubt is, does selection of ug99b or ug99c depends upon shop or field hydro test.
i have understanding that selection does not depend upon whether we r performing shop or field hydro test. we can considered anyone in both conditions. UG99b gives minimum value & UG99c gives higher value than ug99b. but my client say u need to consider UG99c for shop hydro test & ug99b for field hydro test.
Please guide me.
My second doubt is if i am performing ug99c for shop hydro test in horizontal position of vessel. Actual orientation of vessel is vertical in the field.
Do we have different hydro test pressures values for shop hydro & for field hydro due to different static head. If we have same value then static head shall be based upon horizontal position or based upon vertical position?
I understand that we shall have same value & UG99c shall be based upon vertical position. Please guide me.
