Regarding hydrotesting of ASME Code Section VIII, Div 1 vessels how to account for the behavior of elastomer seals at high temperature when the test is conducted at room temperature.

And a related question, how long to perform the hydrotest in consideration of the same?

Thanks

OP,
What behaviour are you looking at? Elastomers are selected for design conditions. Typically, all pressure vessels and piping are tested at room temperature or 17C above the vessel or piping MDMT.
How long you need to test depends on the Code. Usually, it’s 30 mins but may take longer to complete the inspection.
