Do u have any suggestion for a Testing Procedure for a Flare System?

I've found in API-537 that "hydrotesting for flare burners is not required nor recommended" and also that "hydrostatic testing is not required unless specified on the Flare Data-Sheet". We are the constructors of the Flare.

Hope to get any suggestion, thanks

You have several options:

1.) Design and test according to code - i.e., 50 Psig - 75 Psig hydro or 55 Psig air test (with lots of proviso's and disclaimers)

2.) State that it's non-code and do nothing.

3.) State 14.5 Psig and air/soap test connections.

If you are the constructors of the burner assembly, I would NOT hydrotest. Certainly the pressure if below 14.9 Psig and this makes your equipment non-code. Residual hydro-water left in place, could create some issues.
