Hi,

Abaqus 6.12 provides hyperelastic Fung's anisotropic / orthotropic models. We can directly input bijkl values to create anisotropic material property instead of using UMAT subroutines. The user's manual shows that the Fung strain energy is defined as U = 0.5 c (exp(Q)-1)+1/D (.......), where Q = Eij bijkl Ekl. I wondering if in Abaqus

Q = b1111 E11^2 + b2222 E22^2 + b3333 E33^2 + b1212 E12^2 +b1313 E13^2 + b2323 E23^2 + 2 b1122 E11 E22 + 2 b1133 E11 E33 + 2 b2233 E22 E33

or

Q = b1111 E11^2 + b2222 E22^2 + b3333 E33^2 + b1212 E12^2 +b1313 E13^2 + b2323 E23^2 + b1122 E11 E22 + b1133 E11 E33 + b2233 E22 E33.

Besides, I don't consider thermal effects, so what number for D is appropriate to my model?

Thanks
