I am doing pyrolysis on waste tyres and gassification on organic waste. I am getting syngas that I want to get CO2 out of it. The syngas has impurities that will slow the reaction that will convert co in the mix to co2 and also the presence of co2 in the mix will affect the reaction. The reaction i desire is water gas shift reaction CO + H2o -> Co2+ H2
I have a process where i separate co2 using pressure swing adsorption. Is it possible that I pass the syngas through this system and remove the impurities to get almost pure co and then do the water gas shift reaction to it?
My aim is to get CO2 so after the water gas shift reaction I will be using the pressure swing adsorption to separate the CO2.
