I-beam charts

Does anyone know of any charts, or books out there that list structural properties for I-Beam loads, or wide flanged beams? We used to have an old book that used to list different beam sizes for various loads. Is there anythning like that available?

Yes....The book is AISC's Design Guide #15. I have misplaced my copy so I don't havbe the exact title handy. You should be able to find it on the AISC website,

AISC "Manual of Steel Construction - Allowable Stress Design - 9th Edition"

This will give you the properties of every common wide flange beam, trolley beam, channel, angle iron, square tubing, round tubing, t-section etc. It will also give much more information on how to analyze loads and design welded and bolted connections. Make sure to note section F when it comes to the lateral bracing requirements. Simply using the 60% yield stress of the material for the allowable stress may be misleading. Unbraced spans of only 20ft can reduce the allowable stress in some beams by as much as 50%!
