Hello
I am having some problems with I-deas library. I do the "check in" in some assemblies and in the model file appears a new version, but this version is not updated in the library.
Also, sometimes I have the following error:

*** Internal error in function meadamsdso/meadamsdsoinit
*** at position 149: Unable to initialize the ADAMS toolkit
LIBADAMS load failed! Solve and verify are disabled!

Any help please?

Thanks

What version of I-deas are you using?

The adams error is because you do not have the license for the adams solver that goes along with the Mechanism design.

Now for the checkin issue

We had something like this happen also. What we had to do is go in to our TDM and do a search for that assembly. Make sure you turn view latest version off. We called these assembly ghost versions for some reason. But anyways you will have to delete the latest "ghost version" then try to check it in again. You can tell it is a ghost by the version number it will match what is in your model file but when you do a search with view latest version only on the version that shows up is one lower than the one in your model file. Make sure you do not delete your model files until you have verified that your new checked in assembly checks out in a new model file.

Hello,

It was long ago, but thanks for your reply!
Finally, we could solve the problem partially. We found that there were 2 problems:
1st one: We discovered that in the assemblyes were we got the problems (we did the check in, but the last version was not updated in the manage libraries) there were always a part from the catalog. This part (an screw) had a "red ball" in the history access tree. Solving this "red ball" or replacing the screw, one part of the problem was solved.

2nd one: We also discovered that one of the projects in the library was not working well. So we made a local copy of all the parts in that project and check them in again in another one (and we had to make sure that all the upper assemblies that were using the assemlbies also replaced it.

So now we are working well, but we were not able to find why did it happens, and we could reppair the "broken" project (we passed the ham medic and so on, but the problem is still there)

Thanks for everything

Hey everybody

I have a different problem when I´m trying to export an IGES file the I-DEAS LIST window shows me a message that says OI Server is not enabled (to enable, unset SDRC_OI_OFF) and i have a OS unix and the Ideas version is 10.1

If anyone can helpme I would apreciate your help

Thanks

Hello,

This happened to me once also. I think it is because Orbix didn't start when you started I-deas. I did what it solves 90% of the problems, and it worked: restart the computer
