I-DEAS feature tree in NX 7.5

Hello,

I've been using I-DEAS for years, and finally I'm, moving to NX 7.5. I tried to import I-DEAS parts into NX 7.5, but even I can see the I-DEAS tree in "I-DEAS feature browser" I'm not capable to modify this features or convert it to NX 7.5 features. I need another step to get all the I-DEAS feature info into NX 7.5?!?

You must use the CMM-tool to migrate I-deas features to NX features.

But if you want everything associative you must migrate to Teamcenter first and then migrate the CAD files from TC whit CMM-tool.

Sorry what's CCM-tool?!? Yes I know that I can use Teamcenter to do it but I haven't license.

I located CMM tool, but it doesn't work because I haven't TC. So it only works in TC environment.

But thanks a lot anyway.

If you have I-deas licenses and pay for maintenance you can convert the license from I-deas to NX/TC.

You can use(only for migration testing) a special version of CMM-tool on pkg-files from I-deas but all associativity to I-deas will be lost.

I recommend that you contact your VAR or Siemens for more information.
