I get a "beep" everytime i use mate function 1

My computer speakers beep every time I make an assembly constraint of a part. I can mute the master volume, but then will have no sound on my computer. Sound is essential w/ the monotony of everyday design life. Does anyone have a suggestion before I get one more bagel thrown at me for this annoying beep going off all day?
