I have some old air compressor tanks that I need to compare measured UT readings for the shell and heads against allowable thickness.
For example, 350psi, 2.67ft diameter, 7.1 feet long, 235 gallons.
Help!!

Sounds like you want to re-use these old pressure vessels.... Is that true ?

If you are in the United States, there are laws and rules about refurbishment of pressure vessels.... You, alone cannot re-certify the safety of any old vessel. Find out who your local PV inspector is and start asking questions

API-510 is one such set of rules for repair and refurbishment...

The National Board has useful rules and certifies inspectors

There are many such posts in that forum of a similar nature.

What you have really is a load of scrap metal if you have no calculations, material certificates or inspection certificates.

I guses the stamped plates have all "disappeared"?

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

Gee, if we knew something about the vessels from the STAMPED DATA PLATES PERMANENTLY ATTACHED .... we could contact the national board and get the U-1 data report and possibly re-rate them.

This would really help you a lot ...

But, somebody in some maintenance department in the past decided to go to great effort to remove them ..

They probably had to use drills and air-hammers to remove these plates.

Its too bad ....... LittleInch is right .....You just have junk now

You know, in most US States, we can track Ownership of all motor vehicles !!!! ... we have details about the make, model, mileage, year of manufacture etc... etc ....etc. This information is accurately tracked for decades for millions of cars and trucks etc

To bad that this is impossible for industrial equipment ...
