Hi, im a student in highschool and im a senior. Im part of the engineering academy and i have a final project to do before graduation in Dec. Me and my team hit a roadblock. where making a device for a electric go kart to help turn faster, But we cant continue cause were missing an important part. were trying to turn the front wheels from the top. of the tire. like dead center from the top (almost like a bicycle). so its gonna rotate around the y axis. how would we go about doing that?
our operater(driver) is about 189Ibs
the kart itself is about 200Ibs
the tire size is 145/70 R6
so how much power do we need to move the wheels on the y axis(not around, on the y axis)
its ok if you guys dont know but can you atleast point me in the way of a formula or somthing.
thanks
