Hello everbody,

I want to see face breaking on solid like below. ( 2 number pciture)

I made on sketch break lines but it didn't do it. Then I deleted 1 line and I made it with a new line but it didn't happen again.

As far as I heard this way works on solidworks.

I can do it with a pocket or pad 0,01 mm but I dodn't want to do with this way.

How can I do it any idea?

Maybe make it a surface then make it solid? Is there a way do it with skech properties?

Best regards.

if you make a proper pad, i.e not "thick" option it works... create a rectangular sketch as the base of your pad, and not a line that you apply "thick" flag on

you can also "sew" a patch (sew surface) onto your solid

Looks like you're making a frame out of solid tubes or bars, but hard to say based on the 'T' shape in your attachments.

The Structural Design workbench would be the best way to make a structural frame using various cross sectional members.

If you're using Part Design workbench, I would make a Thick Pad based on a sketch of the centerlines.

Thank you for your interest,

I made first surface with extrure then I used thicksurface and I had a solid with breaked faces. I will use this face for give a force or clamp etc. static analysis.
