Hello Everyone,

I need to get my hands on CAD data from Toyota, specifically body data for the '08 Landcruiser. Does anyone have a suggestions who to contact, or how I can effectively go about this?

The company I work for is involved with modifications to these vehicles, yet we have no Toyota contacts or data.

Any help is appreciated...

There is absolutely no way you can obtain the original data legally other than direct contact with Toyota.

You can hire a company to scan a vehicle and provide that data. Here is an example:

I've tried doing some internet research for who I can contact at Toyota. I'm really not having any luck.

Does anybody know who I can contact at Toyota?

If you're not working on a project directly for Toyota or one of Toyota's suppliers I have a hard time believing you'll have any luck getting Toyota's CAD data.

It sounds to me like you work for a company that makes afermarket products. If that's the case, you'll in all likelihood need to reverse engineer the data you need.

I agree with last poster. You are simply not going to get drawings and must reverse engineer

That's not actually true. Certainly the company I work for wil work with aftermarket suppliers, in some instances.

Sorry, no contacts.

Cheers

Check with SEMA, and their Tech Transfer program. Although currently Toyota isn't participating, Scion is, so with enough requests toyota may join.

Everything should be designed as simple as possible, but not simpler.

some of the accident repair jig manufacturers might be able to help try;
car o liner
dataliner
blackhawk
autorobot
or Thatcham research and repair institute in England
you'll have to google them for their address.

3-graphics may be available through Turbo Squid or similar software. These data bases are sometimes used in accident reconstruction, but detailed information would not be adequate for after market parts.
