I want to print out a cross section.

I have a drawing of my assembly, and I just want to print out the cross section of it; however, when I delete the view I chose it deletes my cross section as well.

Hi,

Zoom the draft out, so you can see free space around the draft sheet view
select the main view and associated callouts etc.
and move/drag to free space off your draft area in to the free space.

Don't print the whole sheet, select the Print Area option.

Right click on the section view and choose "Draw in view." Then print.

To delete the view and keep the section, right click on the section view and choose "Convert to 2d View." Then you can delete the view it came from without deleting the section.

It all depends on what you want to do, but another option would be to use a view with a section view from the assembly.
