Can someone explain to me in the world of engineering and energy measurement what I2h and V2h mean, how are they calculated, and what their use is? Peetey

Distribution transformer losses are often separated into V2h losses and I2h losses. The V2 losses stem from losses in the magnetic core due to the magnetic field and the I2 losses are due to winding (resistive) losses. The "h" makes the power measurement an energy measurement.

Low V2h losses are good for trasnformers with low average load and low I2h losses are good for heavily loaded transformers.
