Is anyone aware of any IBR (Indian Boiler Regulation) approved Forgemaster or Foundry in Europe? We need to purchase a small number of Forged Billets or Castings.

Aren't they listed by IBR?

I've not been able to find anything, a few documents with Indian Foundries but very little in Europe...

You will not use the forged billets or castings directly, I guess.
Those would be re-worked to make the necessary components.
Original MTCs with heat nos and other data are enough to get IBR approval
Of course, gratification plays a huge role, its an open secret.

I worked in a foundry in the US that was a "Well Known Foundry" under IBR. A foundry does not require this status in order to make part for IBR service. We made valve castings for a few years to their requirements before getting the "Well Known" status.

I hope it has changed but when I was working with it the IBR was the most poorly documented set of specifications that I have seen. I would not be surprised of a foundry or forge did not want to work to these specifications or charged a premium just for the hassle.
