So my convergence criterion has been questioned when using IcePak. I can show that mass flow in equals mass flow out, but my boss wants to see energy in and energy out. I know you can do heat flow in and out, but it doesn't seem to be making sense.

It says 1W flows through the entrance then there is a 100W heats source within the chamber. The exit flow then states that 1W is leaving, shouldn't this be 101W? Walls are default(which I thought was adiabatic). Anybody have any suggestions or need more info to give me some advise?

at steady state, then energy in would equal energy out. If you haven't achieved steady state, then you might be accumulating energy within the container.
