Hi everyone,
Unfortunately I’m still stuck using mainly Ideas 9 for FEA but have limited access to Workbench 8. I’m still amazed at it stability compared to Ideas. Anyway, I digress.
I want to use Workbench’s lovely automated mesh refinement and convergence on some Ideas simulations as a quick way to check the convergence.
Ideas 9 can export a simulation as an Ansys .dat can this go into Workbench?
Alternatively can I connect Ideas 9 geometry to Workbench 8 like Pro E etc?
Does the traditional Ansys (not workbench) have the same auto-mesh refinement tools to achieve convergence as Workbench (never used it, but curious)?
Many thanks in advance
Martin
