This is a great site. However, it would be a lot more helpful for the readers and experts if the questioner identifies whether he/she is applying in the ANSI/60HZ world or IEC/50Hz world.

I have suggested to the webmaster to add a checkbox in the query form for this so that as a new question comes in, it will bear an [ANSI/60HZ] or [IEC/50HZ] icon on it --- makes it a lot easier and avoids a lot of confusion, especially in terminologies ... like ground and earth, U and V, etc.

If you agree with this suggestion, write to the website 'contact us' link.

May be a good suggestion for this one forum, but hardly relevant for other forums.

Additionally, people can't even get the hang of asking a proper question or not asking homework questions, so asking for a checked box is probably not going ro reap much benefits.

It seems apparent about 60% of the time based on numbers/ratings in the original post. Sometimes questions deal with 50- versus 60-Hz interoperability. Sometimes answers are the same for both. Clear differentiation would be a courteous addition to original posts.
