I am assisting a colleague on a project and need a little help on a question we have.
We are designing a product that utilizes a standard IEC induction motor and are adding some components such as a thermal overload and switch to the terminal box. In order to do this we must remove the existing terminal block that comes standard on this IEC motor.
Is there a standard that requires the use of terminal blocks on IEC motors? Every IEC motor i have seen has the terminal block setup.
I should include, it is a 115-230 single phase motor.
Thanks everyone.
