Hello magnetited,

In North America the electric motors are tested in accordance with IEEE 112, But you can find this methods: B,C,E,E1,F and F1.

In The F method is not neccesary to couple up the motor and a is necesarie to perform a Dual-Frecuency heat run and use
stray loads.

The F1 method use an assigned value to the load loss.

Petronila.

Basically in Method F, Stray Losses are measured, and in Method F1 are calculated or assumed!

Is that correct?

Both are Test Methods for Efficiency based on calculation of the performance at various loads by solution of the equivalent circuit.
As Tommy007 said; On method F the stray-load loss is directly meassured. For method F1 stray-load loss is assumed
