In a section of our sales specifications it requires a motor to be TEFC but in another part it states that the motors should be IEEE-841 under section 2.14 Special Motors.
I know what TEFC stands for, I know the major requirements for IEEE-841 but I don't know what's in section 2.14 of IEEE-841.
Thank you, Jorg Lang.

Are you sure that isn't "section 2.14" of the customer's spec titled "Special Motors"?

I have IEEE Std 841-2001 and IEEE Std 841-1994. There is no such section 2.14 on any of them.

Part 2 is dealing with References to other standards.

The standard was developed to cover " Petroleum and Chemical Industry, Severe Duty Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled Squirrel Cage Induction Motors up to and including 370 kW (500 HP).
The purpose of the standard is to define specifications that deal with mechanical and electrical performance, electrical insulation systems, corrosion protection, and electrical and mechanical testing for severe duty TEFC squirrel cage Polyphase induction motors.
