The IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) UNDERGRADAUTE/PRE-GRADUATE scholarship application DEADLINE has been EXTENDED to JUNE 15!
The purpose of the scholarship program is to attract undergraduates to the microwave and RF discipline, and to encourage them to pursue graduate degrees in the field.
The application can be DOWNLOADED from the EDUCATION LINK on the left hand side of the MTT-S Web-site: DO NOT USE THE LINK UNDER AWARDS!
HIGHLIGHTS:
* The Award Amount: $1500 and Number of Awards: Up to 10.
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:
* UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT STATUS in electrical engineering (or related field) AS of MAY 1 APPLICATION deadline. No citizenship requirements.
* AWARDEE MUST BE ENROLLED full-time in his/her final year of the undergraduate program, first year MS PROGRAM, or combined B.S./M.S. program during the 2010-2011 academic year.
* A FACULTY MENTOR is required to nominate, mentor and supervise the student’s project related to RF/microwave area. The project may be conducted with an industry affiliate, but a faculty mentor must still be identified. Only one award per faculty mentor.
* STUDENT: IEEE student member and FACULTY MENTOR: IEEE MTT-S Member
* Funds may be used for project materials and/or stipends.
* Awardees are also encouraged to attend an IEEE MTT-S sponsored conference. Travel grants to IEEE-MTTS sponsored conferences are available for partial reimbursement above the $1500 award.
