I have Mathcad 13, on Windows XP Pro SP3. Every once in a while is just stops working. I have found that to fix it, I have to go into control panel--administrative tools--services and re-enable the service C-dillaDDA11BA. Apparently various malware detection programs or microsoft updates can turn off the Cdilla service, and Mathcad just does not like that!

Turn it back on by selecting properties and automatic.

That is useful to know, thanks for the information. When that happened to me I went into Add/Remove programs and picked "Repair" and I always had to find my license number. I have it, but it is a pain to dig out.

If I could give you more then 1 star for that tip I would!!!

Thank YOU!!!!

Yep, I don't use Mathcad often, but had to use it today. Sure enough it would not start. Went to services.msc and noticed Cdilla was disabled again. Turned it on and up comes mathcad 13 again! Works for me every time!

You might look into whether your AV program allows you to permanently exclude Cdilla friom scanning.

Who knows which one does it! PC's are so complicated, with so many things running in the background, I am amazed that ANYTHING works for long! I use Mcafee, adaware, malwarebytes, internet eraser, and apparently every month microsoft does a malicious document scan without telling anyone. Any of those sound suspicious?
