Hi all:
Reading through the Soil Mechanics in Engineering Practice textbook from Terzaghi, Peck & Mesri, I found a reference of an interesting computer program called ILLICON that some of you may be familiar with. I do not have the referenced paper neither the book it refers to.
The paper is Mesri, G. and Y.K. Choi (1985a) "Settlement Analysis of embankments on soft clays", J. Geotech. Eng., ASCE, 11, No.4, pp. 441-464. The book (I suppose is a book) is Mesri, G. and D.O.K. Lo (1989). "Subsoil investigation: the weakest link in the analysis of test fills," The Art and Science of Geotechnical Engineering At the Dawn of the Twenty-first Century, Prentice-Hall, Inc., Englewood Cliffs, N.J., pp. 309-335.
I have tried to locate the book but it seems to be out of print. I have requested the paper from the Linda Hall Library website but they couldn't help.
I would like to know how and where to get the ILLICON computer program and if any of you have used it before.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
