I have some pipe assemblies that will be TIG welded. Is there a good rule of thumb for estimating the "Weld-Time" needed for each joint?

Not as long as the "prep time", if you're doing it right.

Best way: Measure the achieved linear speed (circumference/time) for a similar weld in similar material by the person whom you'd most likely use to do your welding.
