I'm new to this

I'd like to make my own plastic mouldings at home but I don't even know where to start. I live in the UK, and I'm prepared to buy whatever equipment might be needed, but I'll be redesigning a typical laptop case with new plastic and integration of electronic lights and new switches etc.

Could someone point me in the right direction, such as what plastics to buy and what I should construct the moulds out of?

Are you looking into:
Blow Molding?
Vaccum Forming?
Roto-Molding?
or Injection Molding?
This is what I do for a living.
The equipment and the molds are not cheap. Do you have your own product line in mind, or molding for other customers?

I am based in Crawley and could do 3D CAD design for you. Then it could be prototype modelled before investing in Injection mould tooling. The costs will be considerable though. A single impression tool could be £40k+!! without considering materials etc.
