Is there any info out there about calculating impact loads on buildings, i.e. aircraft, missiles, blast effects, etc.

Assuming the kinetic energy of the projectile will be absorbed by the building as it deforms. How would you calculate an equivalent static load?

Check out articles on blast resistance in Modern Steel Construction in October and November of 2003. There's no simple answer.
