Hello,
I was called by a client to assess the potential impact that will be caused by excavation work being done neighbor's house. As per the information I got from the client, it is understood that both of the houses have the same foundation depth.
The neighbor of the client is going to excavate 4' from the wall( which is the property line) and replace the back fill with non-frost susceptible granular material and 3' wide rigid insulation at the footing.
the property line for the client is 2' from the wall and he already performed the above-mentioned thing in his in 1990. His main concern is that does excavation work being carried out in the neighbor's house affects the structural integrity of his house?
what are the things going to be affected by the neighbor's work?
TIA
