I work on a field crew for a small utility. You would be amazed at the different answers I get, when I ask, "How close do we need to match the impedance values, when banking transformers? "

I've seen substation transformers that seemed to have quite a difference, but Im talking regular old, pole mounted 3 phase banks, using 3- single phase pots.

Is there a document, that expands on this? A rule of thumbs as it were?

Much thanks,

Search this site. The subject has been discussed. I actually thought at first that this was a renewal of the last thread on transformer banking and impedances.

My apologies.

I see now it has been discussed many times. Thank you for your time.
