Dear all,
I've read numerous posts where choked flow and supersonic velocities are discussed. Although, What I can't find is any information on is WHAT PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS AND the magnitude of problems this may cause (chock waves, noise etc)?

In a case where there are two reservoirs for compressed gas, connected with a pipe and a value, what problems can be expected when opening the valve with a pressure difference of 35 Bars and assuming choked flow occours at 10 Bars?

Is high pitch sound during pressure equilibrium between two tanks in general an indication of choked flow, chock waves etc?

Best regards

Andy
