Hi,
I am trying to import a .bmp image for use as a decal in autodesk inventor 2008. When I attempt to do this I get the following message:
Microsoft paint is not the default editor for .bmp image files, which could cause the active command to fail. Would like to register Microsfot Paint as your default editor for .bmp image files? This may require you to restart Autodesk Inventor for this setting to take effect.
I click Yes.
Then I get Failed to register Microsoft Paint. You may not have enough permissions to modify your registry.
Working with my IT department, we found that I have no problems importing the .bmp when I have admin privaleges. However, the what ever that takes effect when I have admin privileges doesn't carry over to when I don't have admin privileges. Has any one experienced this and found a solution?
