Hi,

Does anyone know if any of the NX utilities can import data in to Teamcenter as datasets other than NX parts.

I have several hundred ACAD datasets which I need to pull into Teamcenter as dxf/dwg datasets, but under a regular item / item revision which is used for regular nx parts (ugmaster) etc.

Thanks for any help of advice.

Do you mean you do NOT want to create a separate Item/Item Revision for each and every AutoCAD file? If that's the case, you can simply Drag and Drop many datasets into TC at one time. We do that often. On the other hand, if you wish each AutoCAD file to have its own Item Master/Item Revision in Teamcenter, an admin can perform a migration for Teamcenter. We've imported thousands of AutoCAD files using a script. To generate the migration script, we supplied the all the necessary information in a spreadsheet, such as dataset file location, ITEM ID, ITEM REVISION, ITEM DESCRIPTION, OWNER and so on. We did this in Teamcenter 12.
